Philadelphia Flyers GM Anthony Lemieux has been quite active in the past couple days. As many were expecting, the Flyers have nothing in mind but the Stanley Cup. Having this objective in mind, we can say that the GM has reached expectations in terms of trades and movements. So far, the team is displaying a satisfying 10-4-1 record and is well installed at the first seed of their division.
Here is a summary of the key components added/traded:
Coming:
- Ryan Getzlaf
- Phil Kessel
- Jamie Benn
- Colin White
- Cedric Paquette
Leaving:
- First round pick 21-22
- Cam York
- Kevin Hayes
- Tyson Foerster
- Joel Farabee
Even though many prospects have been traded, the Flyers prospect pool remains pretty interesting with some quality young players that could make a jump to the next level in the next couple years. Among them we have:
- German Rubstov (1st round pick)
- Jay O'brien (1st round pick)
- Marat Khusnutdinov (

2nd round pick)
- Alex Vlasic (

2nd round pick)
- Egor Zemula (Signed as free agent after an outstanding performance at the 2019 WJC with team Russia)
